Challenge / Objective

Following the introduction of Salesforce, basecom simultaneously looked for a solution for opportunity and quotation management integrated into the CRM.
With the introduction of appero quote, all processes were to be handled and documented using a standardized system in order to work more efficiently in terms of time and costs.

Task

Offers were previously created in Microsoft Word. This took a lot of time, especially due to their great diversity and individuality. Master data had to be laboriously copied and pasted and also updated manually.

The special requirements for the offer document itself were as follows:

  • Separate sections with their own logic for the product categories
    (e.g. services, licenses, hosting)
  • Automated table of contents with multiple hierarchies
  • Clear visualization of the services
  • Selection of options in the order placement

Solution

After the presentation of appero's solution in a demo, it was not only the appealing design but also the ease of use and speed that convinced us. Offers that have already been created can be used as templates at any time and enriched with so-called bricks - content modules - which also helps to save time.

The analyzability of the Salesforce products has also generated many positive side effects. For example, it is possible to systematically evaluate which product categories account for a significant proportion of incoming orders and the amount of discounts granted in each case.
